Docutech is updating our Maryland Deeds of Trust to make it easier to locate the “Return To” information on the document. Previously the “Return To” section has been placed on the last page per the following instructions from Cecil County, MD:
“On all instruments, please type or print on the front of the last page to be recorded the name and address of whome [sic] the instrument is to be returned to.”
Since other Maryland counties do not appear to have a preference or statutory requirement for the location of the “Return To” information, we are placing the “Return To” section on the first page of the Maryland security instruments for all counties except Cecil County. Note that the Maryland security instrument margins will not be impacted by this change.
This change will impact the following instruments:
- MD Deed of Trust (Cx329)
- MD Deed of Trust Second (Cx487)
- HELOC Deed of Trust – MD (Cx3040)
- FHA MD Deed of Trust (Cx19378)
