On October 4, 2017 Gov. Edmund G. Brown (D-CA) signed into law CA AB 1284 (2017) which, among other things, modifies Cal. Fin. Code § 22001 to amend the name of the “California Finance Lenders Law” (Cal. Fin. Code §§ 22000 through 22780) to the “California Financing Law.” This amendment took effect immediately upon passage (see http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billCompareClient.xhtml?bill_id=201720180AB1284 and https://www.gov.ca.gov/news.php?id=19985).
We are therefore modifying references to this law in Cx5188 and Cx14027, so that they refer to the law’s new name. We will also be modifying the “CA Finance Lenders Law” option in the field entitled “Californian License Type” (Field 51790) to “CA Financing Law.”
