Gov. C. L. ‘Butch’ Otter (R-ID) signed into law H.B. 209 (2017) on March 27, 2017. This law amends several provisions of Idaho’s laws concerning notarial acts, including a complete repeal of the Idaho Notary Public Act (Idaho Code Ann. §§ 51-101 through 51-123) and replacing it with a new “Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts” (see https://legislature.idaho.gov/sessioninfo/2017/legislation/H0209/).
